International Womens Day

Here at DFYNE, we recognise the importance of celebrating and supporting women through all aspects of our brand all of the time, from how our products make women feel, to how we treat our customers, staff and athletes. But... today does give us the perfect opportunity to show our DFYNE women an extra bit of love and share with you guys just how supporting our women is embedded within the fabric of the DFYNE culture. 

At DFYNE, we make our own rules and like to challenge the ‘norm’.  DFYNE was created to make people feel incredible, which is the environment we have naturally built-in house too. The family here at DFYNE have been thinking about what is different here. The family we have built here is made up of strong and driven women and we are so proud to have the team of women we do, and we want you to know more about the women behind the brand. We are very fortunate that 80% of our staff are women, and that includes 40% of our warehouse staff too, with a female warehouse manager Rachel. This is something we find particularly empowering, considering it is area usually dominated by males.

We strive to give everyone the opportunities they deserve to create the career they want, all our women at DFYNE come from completely different walks of life and lead different life’s but we all have the same mindset, goals and motivation to build a brand that has a refreshing approach to ‘work’. Instead of writing a big spiel about the women at DFYNE, we thought we would let you hear directly from a few of our incredible team.

“Two years ago, I could never have imagined celebrating international women’s day for the reasons I do today. Being given the opportunity at DFYNE to strive in an environment that accepts me for the person that I am, irrespective of my commitments to my two young children and tying home life is just something I didn’t think I would ever find in my career. Today I am here, working full time in a place that I never dreamed I would be- managing a team, still being a full-time mum to my children and working my busy job from home. There is no place I would rather be than DFYNE. We celebrate the wins; we pick each other up when times are tough and we support each other every step of the way. “For me, working at DFYNE is like nowhere I have ever worked. My job doesn’t feel like ‘work’ to me, I come in everyday to a team of women (and men) that are like family. Everyone pushes you to reach your potential and the support is incredible. I work with our athletes every day and I am inspired by every single one of them, getting to chat everyday with like-minded women who are driven to succeed is so rewarding. If someone had told the little girl that grew up in a council estate with little money that she would be managing a department at her dream job, I would never have believed them. DFYNE would not exist, without founder’s fiancé Eilidh, he could never have got the brand to where we are today. “Having someone that fully supports you no matter how crazy an idea something is, is incredible. I’ve been so lucky to have a partner who’d come and help me night and day when DFYNE was nothing.  I know the whole team see how much of an impact Eilidh makes. Thanks to all the incredible women here, it has grown faster than any of us could have imagined. We strive to make a difference and break away from the divide of men and women in the workplace, it’s all about the team here but for today, the women especially x”- Founder
